Giveaway: UNDETECTED by Dee Henderson

This drawing of Undetected by Dee Henderson is for the contiguous United States only.

Here's the short version of the story:

When asked what he does for a living . . .
Commander Mark Bishop is deliberately low-key: "I'm in the Navy." But commanding the ballistic missile submarine USS Nevada, keeping her crew trained and alert during ninety-day submerged patrols, and being prepared to launch weapons on valid presidential orders, carries a burden of command like few other jobs in the military. Mark Bishop is a man who accepts that responsibility, and handles it well. And at a time when tensions are escalating around the Pacific Rim, the Navy is glad to have him.

Mark wants someone to come home to after sea patrols. The woman he has in mind is young, with a lovely smile, and very smart. She's a civilian, yet she understands the U.S. Navy culture. And he has a strong sense that life with her would never be boring. But she may be too deep in her work to see the potential in a relationship with him.

Gina Gray would love to be married. She has always envisioned her life that way. A breakup she didn't see coming, though, has her focusing all her attention on what she does best--ocean science research. She's on the cusp of a major breakthrough, and she needs Mark Bishop's perspective and help. Because what she told the Navy she's figured out is only the beginning. If she's right, submarine warfare is about to enter a new and dangerous chapter.

Your turn: What is the best thing about Romantic Suspense? Romance or suspense? Please leave a comment on this post, with your email included, before Tuesday, May 18, 2015 in order to be included in this drawing. Winner will be contacted through email.

  3. Looks like Dee Henderson has a real winner on her hands here, Marji. Thanks for sharing the synopsis. As for your question: The best thing about romantic suspense is that you get two for the price of one. :-)

  11. First of all, I LOVE Dee Henderson's books! She has the right mix of romance and suspense. Her characters are real and relatable and the stories are hard to put down, I've stayed up late a few nights reading them :-) I really enjoy an author who is well balanced in her writing (if that makes any sense!).
As for the question, the best part....well, it's both for me! Like I said here, if an author has a great balance of both romance & suspense, that's a winner in my book!
Thank you for the chance to win a copy of "Undetected"!

  17. The best thing about romantic suspense is both romance and suspense! You can find good books with one or the other, but the best books have both!

  18. The best thing about it? Hmm.. Well, I'd have to say I think Romance AND suspense needs something to balance them out. I don't really like reading just a Romance book. I normally like a little bit of something else thrown in too! The same with suspense :)

  23. I would have to say I like suspense... being on the edge of your seat, trying to figure out what is going to happen next, totally captivated & drawn in to the story.... but a mix of romance & suspense....well that is the icing on the cake for me for a good read. Dee Henderson is such a great author! Thanks for the opportunity of this giveaway! nj[dot]bossman[at]gmail[dot]com

  24. The best thing about Ronantic Suspense is there is non-stop action, twists and turns with a little romance to intrigue the reader. I love the mix because it gives readers a mystery to solve, danger to go thru, having faith and being able to have a special someone to help you get thru the tough spots. They are able to lean on each other while find strength in God .
    Thanks

  30. both...seeing the romance blossom through the adversity of the suspense, when they' re forced to see each other in the harsh light of reality, and they still fall in love.

  31. I like the mix of them both but I would definitely read a romance rather than a suspense so I guess there's your answer!
